Compose a cover letter.
Composition should include
- determining the type of cover letter
- applying for a specific position
- inquiring for positions available (i.e., letter of inquiry)
- using proper letter format
- referencing how the applicant learned of the position
- referencing the specific position for which the applicant is applying
- displaying a knowledge of the business
- referencing the résumé, by highlighting qualifications and relevant background
- requesting an interview
- paying attention to grammar and content.
