Course Description:
Cybersecurity in Marketing, Advanced focuses on cybersecurity fundamentals, threats and vulnerabilities, and data security and ethics. Students will investigate cybersecurity concerns pertaining to promotion, engagement of customers, customer service, brand building, and sales through the use of websites, social media, digital messaging, streaming video, digital display advertising, and app marketing. The integrity of strategic marketing plans and marketing campaign hijacking will also be examined. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
