Evaluation should include

  • identification of common feedstuffs
  • nutritional value
  • palatability
  • analysis of a commercial feed tag
  • toxicity
  • forages vs. roughages.

  • What are some common toxins in feedstuffs? What measures can be taken to reduce the risks of toxins in feedstuffs?
  • Why are feed labels and feed analysis important?
