Identify sources of financial aid.
Identification should include
- federal government
- state of residence
- the college a student plans to attend
- nonprofit or private organizations
- use of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for all types of federal aid (including student loans) and other aid (e.g., state, school)
- comparison of colleges in numerous categories, including financial aid, standardized test scores, and graduation rates using the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the Department of Education's College Scorecard, and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia websites.
