Explanation should include the following for the student to remain eligible for most federal, state, or institutional aid:

• Resubmit the FAFSA application each year as soon after October 1 as possible.
• Monitor all communications from the institution about information that needs to be submitted each year.
• Make progress towards degree or program completion to remain eligible for federal financial aid, often referred to as Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
• Review all requirements, such as grade-point average (GPA) and full-time enrollment status to be eligible for scholarship renewal.
