Demonstration should include following disinfection procedures after a blood exposure incident or other contamination:

• Soak implements in appropriate disinfectant.
• Clean and disinfect work area.
• Dispose of towels and swabs properly.

• Which items require disinfection, and which items are single-use?
• Why is it particularly important to dispose of soiled towels correctly?
• Why should one clean before disinfecting? How are the two steps different?
