Demonstration should include

rinsing hair thoroughly with lukewarm water for at least five minutes
towel-blotting each rod
applying neutralizer slowly and carefully to each rod, according to manufacturer specifications (including the use of pre-neutralizer conditioner, if required)
setting timer according to manufacturer specifications
rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water
removing rods
styling hair as desired by client
cleaning up.
