- rinsing with tepid water
- sectioning hair into eight or nine sections, subsectioning as you wrap
- wrapping on desired rods
- placing cotton around hairline
- applying thio gel or cream
- covering with plastic cap
- putting client under dryer or as directed by manufacturer
- taking test curl
- rinsing hair again
- using prepared neutralizer as directed by the manufacturer
- removing rods
- rinsing hair with warm water.
