  • shampooing and rinsing thoroughly

  • parting hair into sections of four or five

  •  gel or cream
  • combing thio gel or cream through the entire head, first with a wide-tooth comb, then a small-tooth comb
  • rinsing with tepid water
  • sectioning hair into eight or nine sections, subsectioning as you wrap
  • wrapping on desired rods
  • placing cotton around hairline
  • applying thio gel or cream
  • covering with plastic cap
  • putting client under dryer or as directed by manufacturer
  • taking test curl
  • rinsing hair again
  • using prepared neutralizer as directed by the manufacturer
  • removing rods
  • rinsing hair with warm water.
