Documentation should include the following procedures, under the direct supervision of a doctor:

• Preparing prescriptions for doctor approval
• Reading prescriptions
• Refilling prescriptions
• Calling in or electronically submitting prescriptions to a pharmacy
• Recording prescriptions on a patient’s chart
• Dispensing appropriate samples

• Who can approve the release of a prescription?
