Demonstration should include

- choosing appropriate needle size for syringe
- filling a syringe
- injecting method
- disposing of syringe.

- How are needles and syringes properly disposed of?
- How is a one-handed recap performed? (Recapping of needles is permitted in the veterinary industry.)
- What are the common sites for parenteral administration of medication?
- How is a needle applied to a syringe safely? How is a needle removed from a syringe safely?
- Does the agent which was dispensed using the syringe influence the syringe’s disposal manner? Explain.
- What does “bevel up” mean with regard to syringe use?
- What does “Aspirate!” mean with regard to syringe use?
- What is an oral repeater syringe?
