Examination should include

identifying choices that influence wellness (e.g., diet, exercise, sleep, avoidance or use of harmful substances, attitude, environment, gender, age, finances)

explaining the relationship between risky or unsafe behaviors (e.g., not using seatbelt, speeding or multitasking while driving, excessive exposure to the sun, regular exposure to loud music, excessive use of electronics, alcohol, or other substance abuse) and wellness
identifying substances often abused by teens (e.g., alcohol, steroids, vaping or nicotine products, marijuana products, caffeine, laxatives, inhalants, prescription medication, drugs, energy, or performance enhancing supplements such as creatine)
determining effects that each substance listed above can have on the body and/or mind
identifying SUD prevention and rehabilitation strategies.
