Demonstrate the use of a tubing notcher (end-mill tube notcher).

Demonstration should include

  • checking the notcher to ensure safe operation
  • selecting the size of the end mill for tubing
  • selecting the degree to be set
  • adjusting the clamp all the way back
  • placing the tubing into the clamp and tightening it
  • moving the clamped piece of tubing slowly toward the end mill
  • returning the clamp to its starting position when the desired depth is obtained
  • removing tubing and deburring
  • checking the fit and recutting if necessary.
