Demonstrate polishing techniques.
Demonstration should include removing and applying nail polish. When removing nail polish, the technician should
- moisten cotton with polish remover
- press the cotton onto the nail surface and hold for a few seconds to soften the old nail polish
- with a firm movement, bring cotton from the base of the nail to the free edge, taking care not to smear polish into the cuticle
- repeat as needed.
When applying nail polish, the technician should
- remove excess oil
- apply polish down the center of the nail, down the right side of the nail, and down the left side of the nail.
