Demonstrate electric filing techniques.

Demonstration should include

• understanding the RPM, power, and torque of the electric file and how they affect the procedure
• identifying the uses and benefits of different electric file bits
• maintaining the equipment
• disinfecting drill bits
• filing acrylic product to achieve the desired result for the client’s needs
• understanding application pressure and angle of the file.

Process/Skill Questions:

• What happens if a nail technician improperly uses the e-file?
• How can a technician avoid the rings of fire while using the electric drills?
• What cautions should be taken before operating an electric file on a client?
