assemble supporting equipment and mission supplies
risk assessment
inspect UAS for maintenance and airworthiness

safety briefing and pre-flight briefing
identify airspace and flight restrictions (e.g., temporary flight restrictions [TFRs])
monitor weather (e.g., meteorological aerodrome reports [METARS], terminal area forecast [TAFS])
review crew roles
review emergency procedures.
