Explain basic traumatic and medical emergency procedures.
Explanation should include procedures for first responders, including
- activating the Emergency Medical System (EMS) (911 or the designated emergency for that facility) assessing the scene for safety hazards
- improvising PPE, if not available
- assessing patients for circulation, airway, breathing (CAB)
- determining the number of victims
- performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) if necessary
- using an automated external defibrillator (AED)
