Description should include aspects of management applied to the daily operations of a business, such as
- type (e.g., motivational, administrative)
- function (e.g., planning, organizing, implementing, controlling)
- skill set (e.g., communication skills, human relations skills, teamwork skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, knowledge of the business)
- ethics (e.g., workplace, consumer).
Process/Skill Questions:
- How are roles of management affected by an individual’s interests, strengths, or experience?
- What portion of responsibility should each function of management hold?
- What are the most important skills managers should develop?
- How does an individual’s background affect their values and integrity?
- What practices have affected the area of ethics over time?
