and their roles in the creation of an effective design.

Process/Skill Questions:

• How does contrast add visual interest to an image?
• When presented with a variety of client images, what are some challenges to creating unity while satisfying that client?
• How might emphasis direct the viewer’s attention through the image? Why is it important to control movement of the eye through a design?
• What is the difference between symmetrical and asymmetrical balance, and how does one achieve each?
