- ambulatory technique with a cane
- ambulatory technique with a quad cane
- three-point gait crutch walking
- four-point gait crutch walking
- the procedure for gait training in parallel bars.
Process/Skill Questions:
- Which gait pattern is most appropriate for an individual with a bilateral bunionectomy? Why?
- If a client’s left leg is injured, in which hand should they use a cane? Why?
- How high should the parallel bars be positioned when the client is ambulating in them? Why?
