Scouting locations should include completing a location survey that may contain the following information, as relevant:

The exact address of the location
How the location adds or detracts from the message, including things in the background or foreground that may distract or add context
Permission and permit requirements
Equipment necessary for the shoot
Parking, truck and equipment ingress and egress, entryways, and loading dock procedures
Number of crew members needed on location
Where the camera would be placed
What the potential scene would physically look like
Assessment of light sources, including the presence or absence of natural light and lighting temperature spectrum from mixed sources
Power sources and their distances to the set location
Access to bathrooms
Access to food for the crew
Access to Internet and Internet speed
Proximity to hospitals, medical facilities, and/or emergency response teams
List of sound and/or lighting issues, if any
List of safety concerns, if any
