Shoot a location interview.
Shooting should include
- calibrating the recording equipment (e.g., mic check)
- using a variety of shots (e.g., cutaways, reversals, over the shoulder [OTS], rule of thirds)
- considering location parameters (e.g., lighting, framing, background noise)
- re-wording the questions to solicit concise statements from the interviewee
- providing an opportunity for additional thoughts from the interviewee
- providing a statement of the subject’s identification and the date of the interview (i.e., documentation).
