Procedures should include

• visually inspecting the exterior sheet metal
• determining the point of impact
• determining if the damaged area(s) needs to be repaired or replaced
• using OE body repair manuals to determine part removal sequence
• photographing the damaged area prior to disassembly and following reassembly
• using the first-in, last-out rule
• documenting methods of repair.
