Course Description:

Students explore the skills and principles involved in the development and function of advertising and the production process. In their course of study, students apply aesthetic theories and technical skills to graphic design objectives. Elements covered include principles of design and illustration, typography, photography, computer graphics, and pre-press theory. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
