Course Description:
Students build on the theoretical principles and practical skills gained in Advertising Design I and explore advanced applications. Elements covered are design and illustration techniques, typography, photography, Web graphics and computer animation, advertising techniques, and preparation of print-ready materials. In addition, students assemble a portfolio and explore careers in advertising design. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
