Course Description:

Graphic Imaging Technology I will introduce students to the graphic communications industry. Students will explore digital file preparation, image capture, color theory, digital file output, press operations, and bindery operations. Students will practice workplace safety and develop skills in measurement, mathematical problem solving, interpersonal communication, and the job application process. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
