Course Description:

Students continue to focus on threats and security practices in Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) industries. They will specifically address cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities associated with precision agriculture (PA) and smart farming. Students will research future trends in cybersecurity and the use of artificial intelligence (AI), along with cybersecurity concerns related to agricultural production, processing, marketing, distribution, business management, and financing. Additionally, they will explore careers related to cybersecurity in various AFNR industries. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

Note: Competencies within this course ensure compliance with the National FFA Organization's Federal Charter Amendments Act (Public Law 116-7). Through this legislation, students are provided opportunities for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
