Procedures should include

- switches, relays, bulbs, sockets, connectors, and wires of all light circuits, including four-wire tail lamp or light systems
- head lamp or light bulbs
- identifying programmable electrical/electronic components
- recording data for reprogramming before disconnecting a battery
- demonstrating self-grounding procedures for handling electrical components
- removing, replacing, and checking operation of

- stop lamp or light
- flashers
- turn signals
- backup lamp or light
- Advance Driver Assist Systems (ADAS)
- protecting exposed connectors
